Peach Tint Rose by Linda C Smith Photography is something I greatly enjoy and I take one of my cameras with me nearly everywhere I go...especially on trips or vacations. Besides taking the usual photos of family members I specialize in photos of flowers. This photo, which I've changed artistically using Photoshop, was one I took on the grounds of the Ringling Museum in Sarasota, Florida two weeks ago while on vacation. Appreciating Glass Sculptor David Wight

*post update June 2014: in checking website links I found that the Garcia Gallery is now closed so I removed the broken link. When I go on vacation I put art galleries on my list of places to visit. Even if the destination is someplace like Disneyland, I'll visit the art-related exhibits. As an artist myself I have a deep appreciation for the work of other artists. Vacations are a good opportunity for sketching

Mosaic Mandalas will be on vacation until the week of May 24th. A Florida trip is on the calendar and I plan to do sketching as well as photography. This will be a great opportunity to fill a sketchbook with notes and images. I will be using watercolor pencils so that I have the option of adding color to my sketches. Watercolor pencils give you a traditional colored pencil option and/or you can use a brush and water to give a watercolor look.
